It was with great sadness that we learnt these past days of the deaths of Sr. Marjory Gallagher SC and Sr. Maureen MacBride RNDM
May they both rest in peace in the loving arms of God
Sr. Marjory was a founding member of the UISG Canon Law Council and worked tirelessly to develop the UISG international network of sister canonists. She facilitated meetings in Nemi and Rome and was available to advise Superiors General. We will remember her generosity, her fun loving nature and above all her love of religious life. She was a blessing for so many religious congregations and she will be greatly missed.
When Superior General of the RNDMs, Sr. Maureen played a very significant role in the development of the UISG-USG inter-congregational project Solidarity with South Sudan. She was the first President of the Board of Solidarity and committed her congregation and its members to the support of this new initiative. She continually promoted this new type of mission response in other parts of the world. We give thanks for her gracious wisdom and her generosity in service of the her congregation and the Church’s mission.
