House for migrant-refugee women and children

House for migrant-refugee women and children

The Migrants and Refugees Section of the Dicastery of Integral Human Development, in response to a request from Pope Francis is seeking to open a house in Rome to welcome migrant/refugee women and children. The Section has asked the Scalabrinian Sisters to lead thus project.

They, in turn, have asked UISG to collaborate with them.

Funds are available to rent a property but the team has not yet found a suitable house (for 40 – 50 persons). The occupants of the house will be migrant/refugee women and children, a religious community and lay volunteers. If your congregation has a house which might be suitable for the project or if you want more information, can you contact :

Sister Albertina Pauletti, Scalabrinian sister e-mail or
Sister Florence de la Villeon, Migrants Project in UISG email :

In advance, thank you very much for your help.
