Sr. Gabriella Bottani honoured as a 2019 Trafficking in Persons (TIP) Hero

2019 TIP Report Launch Ceremony hosted by U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Thursday, June 20, 2019, at the U.S. Department of State, Washington, D.C.

Every year in this period the U.S. Department of State issues a Trafficking in Persons (TIP) Report, assessing the efforts by foreign governments during the previous year to combat the global crime of human trafficking.  Along with this report, ten brave individuals committed worldwide to the same endeavour, are publicly honoured as Heroes in recognition of their tireless efforts to protect victims, punish offenders, and raise awareness of ongoing criminal practices in their countries and abroad, and because their actions have made a lasting impact on the fight against modern slavery.
