More than 100 professional communicators for congregations of women religious will gather in Oct. 4-7 at the Hilton Indianapolis Hotel & Suites for the 22nd annual conference of the Communicators for Women Religious (CWR). Participants represent more than 150 communities of women religious in the U.S., Canada, Ireland, Italy and Australia.
Keynote speakers include:
Sister Nancy Sylvester, IHM, president and executive director of the Institute for Communal Contemplation and Dialogue will present “Going the Extra Mile” on the value contemplation brings to communicators.
Sister Patricia Wittberg, SC, author of numerous books including Catholic Cultures (2016) and New Generations of Catholic Sisters (2012), of which she was a co-author. She will address “Getting Up to Speed with the New Generation of Catholic Sisters” and what this means for religious communities in the future.
Angela White, CFRE, senior consultant and CEO of Johnson, Grossnickle & Associates, an Indianapolis-based philanthropic consulting firm. She will facilitate a panel discussion called “The Importance of Communications in Advancing Your Mission and Securing Philanthropic Support.”
Sister Jan Craven, SP, director of the Shrine of Saint Mother Theodore Guerin and co-director of Providence Spirituality & Conference Center at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Ind., will do a presentation on the Spirituality of Communications.
